1. Pixomondo is currently recruiting for the Los Angeles office where we would like to welcome anyone with the right experience to work and train artists in a fresh environment on exceptional television productions.
Requirements of the company:
Good judgment.
You are a thinker. You plan ahead, look for the best option and the quickest solution, but not at the detriment of the show, the schedule or the budget. You make suggestions, and listen to the same.
Creativity and Curiosity.
You're smart, but flexible. You're open to considering the other perspective, and sometimes you have the responsibility to come up with it. You don't just "do your thing". You're interested in how other people are doing "their things" too, and how all of those "things" can be done better.
Selflessness.
You understand that the people you work with are as important as you are, and believe that what's good for the company, and good for the project, are likely what's good for you too. You listen to what other people are saying, and understand it. And you communicate well with others in writing and in person because you know you're not alone.
Courage, Passion, and Honesty.
You don't do something wrong because you "were told to", and aren't afraid to speak up respectfully when it's important. We want everything to be the best it can be, and you do too. You take risks and responsibility in proportional measure, and you're reliable. When you say it'll be done, it gets done; and when you said it would.

Traditional art portfolio demonstrating traditional art skills is a plus.

1. I am a writer seeking a filmmaker to collaborate on making a documentary about the tragedy of newborn babies so often found dead in the United States – every 4 days according to my research – found in public toilets, trash bins and the woods. I am planning a film that will go deeper than the rhetoric of “pro choice” and “pro life” campaigns, explore the facts of unwanted children, and propose simple solutions to preventing unintended pregnancy, making abortion almost unnecessary. This will not so much be a political film but a spiritual film to focus on the hope that can emerge for wanted children and for redefining “life” and “choice” in a meaningful, peaceful way.
Paid. Grants being sought.
I am preparing a grant proposal to fund the film’s expenses and I’m looking for a filmmaker with the artistic eye to complement my arts as a poet and journalist.

2. I'm in need of a talented editor to help me produce promotional clips for a short film I'm shooting. We've shot nearly 50% of the script and are currently exploring ways to generate additional funding to complete the project. I have a trailer/teaser assembled, which you should definitely see before applying for the work, as it is an action-based horror-comedy, that has some potentially objectionable material.
You can view it here:
http://www.funnyordie.com/runcatchkill
or view the entire crowd-funding campaign here:
http://www.indiegogo.com/RUN-CATCH-KILL?c=home&a=426980
I have plans to integrate some comic-book style illustrations into the video, so it'd be great to have someone experienced with After Effects or ideas of some effective transitions to get from video/illustration/video.
Also, experience with Twixtor or something similar would be a plus.
I realize I may be asking for a lot, and although I'm searching for funding to complete the project, I do plan to pay a fair rate that we can negotiate for the editing of these clips. I'm proud to say that I've paid my entire cast & crew for everything we've done up to this point.
Also, with the idea that we will finish the film, I'd definitely/ideally like to stick with the same editor.
Thanks for your interest!
